* With a generous sponsorship from the Northern Metalic Group, all juniors aged 15 and under now play free of charge.

*If playing on a weekend or holiday before 1:00pm, juniors must play with a member or paid green fee player.

 Lake Point thanks the Northern Metalic Group for their support in our efforts to grow the game.

The Lake Point G&CC Junior Open

presented by

It is s a fun & competitive 18 hole tournament. One of many stops on the Peace Country Junior Tour.

We will hosts golfers aged 10-18 from all reaches of the Peace region.

In a individual stroke play format players will be flighted by age and handicap.

The day features golf, fun, food & prizes!  


There is also an opportunity for the parents who travel to play the course.

Monday Family Golf Nights

Monday Family Nights (ages 4-18)

  • Starting May 23rd, a junior along with a parent, grandparent, and aunt or uncle are invited to participate in this weekly event.

  •  May 23rd & then the 3rd Monday of each month there will be an instructor present for noted practice time. June 20th, July 18th, Aug. 15th.

  • Play 9 holes or play 2 holes, whatever your golf level dictates.

  • On course prizes, draw prizes & food specials each week.

  • Golf starts at 7pm, with practice time leading in from 6pm-7pm each week (range balls included).                             

  • NO PLAY – June 6th & Aug. 1st.

  • Final week will be Aug. 29th.

  • No experience is required for the junior. The adult should have some knowledge of the game.

  • $25 per adult non-member. Adults are also welcome to just caddie at no cost.

Instructional Program Details

Junior - Junior Game Introduction (ages 4-8)

Junior-Junior is the BEST program to introduce your son or daughter to the game of golf in an outdoor setting. This program uses Snag Golf equipment and focuses on teaching youngsters the fun of the golf while introducing basic techniques and etiquette.

Each session includes 3 hours of instruction and all equipment needed.

$75 per Jr. Jr. / Max 8 per class.

Session #2 Thursday’s June 16/23/30          6pm-7pm

Junior Learn to Golf (age 7-16)

Learn to golf is open to any Beginner to Intermediate junior looking to learn fundamental golf skills, along with rules and etiquette of the sport. Each session includes 3 hours of instruction and all equipment needed.

$75 per Junior / Max 8 per class.

All Learn to Golf Classes Sold Out

Teens Learn to Play (12-18)

Teens Learn to Play focuses on the recreational golfer. It is perfect for any child who has graduated from the Learn to Play level and wants to continue learning. We will also consider teens that want to start the game. After all, it is a game of friends. This class will cover golf fundamentals of all areas. Including full swing, short game, bunker shots, putting, rules, etiquette, and strategies. There will be on course activities included each week. 

Each session includes 4.5 hours of instruction, each Teen should have their own clubs.

$120 per Teen / Max 8 per class.

Session #2

Thursday’s June 16/23/30        7pm-8:30pm

Competition Club (8-18)

Introduction to competition is for those who have shown an interest in playing competitive golf. We will continually reinforce golf’s fundamental movements & skills. Then build on those skills, resulting in introductory competitive experiences.

This learn to compete program establishes and implements systems to ensure the technical, tactical and supporting ancillary skills of the individual player improve. We will reinforce, refine and optimize those technical, tactical and ancillary skills so that competitive performance of the athlete meets their benchmarks and goals.

This session includes 4.5 hours of instruction at the practice facility.  Two 9 hole & one 18 hole on course rounds with coaching, for a total of 17 hours of instruction. Also, entry into Lake Point Junior Open.

$499 per Junior / Max 6 per class.

Session #1

Sunday’s June 5 (9 holes) /19 (9 holes) /26 (18 holes).               Time :                                                                            

Practice area instruction from 12:30pm-1:30pm plus golf, 9 or 18 holes. Then a ½ hour at the practice area after golf. Wrapping up at approx. 4:30pm for 9 holes & 7:00pm for 18 holes.

Private Coaching (ages 8-18)


Private coaching is geared towards the intermediate to advanced junior players.
